Our Story
Hi, I'm Phoebe. I'm the creator of the Red Wolf Recovery. I started this project back in the COVID 19 pandemic. It started when I wanted to make a difference by helping animals. My favorite animal is a wolf, so I searched to see if the wolves were endangered. Here's what I saw: red wolves. I looked up how many were left in the wild. At the time, the internet said 20. I was SO sad. I started researching programs that support the red wolves. I ended up finding the Red Wolf Coalition (https://redwolves.com/newsite/). I raised a donation for the red wolves and the Red Wolf Coalition by hosting a fundraiser, but I wanted to do more than just that; something bigger.
One day, I discovered Google Sites, and I started to play around with it. I began to work on the Red Wolf Recovery website to raise awareness about the plight of the red wolves. I created a purpose for the program to make it easier to make content for the site and to help out in my community (Read "Our Purpose" at the bottom of the screen).
Then, I created a page with links to others who are helping these incredible beings (See "Useful links").
I've also included a newsletter to keep you updated on the red wolves. Check back often to see the updated Newsletter!
I also wanted others to make a difference in their communities too, so, I put in a page on fundraisers so you can make donations to help the red wolves.
Are you angry that the red wolves are endangered? Good thing I put in protest printouts! Highlight the printout you want with your mouse and double finger click. Select "Print" when the menu pops up.
If you're wondering what we do to help, then go to our "What We Do" page.
If you think we forgot to add fun to this site, think again! We included fun red wolf games that are completely free to play, and even include a leader board so you can see what others are doing and beat the all time record!
Have fun exploring the site, and remember that you can do anything!
